Preparing Visit

Who benefits from Physical or Rehabilitative Therapy?

Physical Therapy is beneficial for those who need to restore injured body parts, improve flexibility or posture, or build strength. It also helps patients who have undergone surgery to regain optimal physical functionality.

What to bring to the first appointment?

Please bring any records from your previous doctor, a list of medications, allergies, and prior doctors. You can print and complete the Intake Forms from our website to save time. Wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing or athletic wear, and closed-toe shoes.

How long does each visit take?

Initial visits take longer due to paperwork and assessment, usually 45-60 minutes. Subsequent visits are shorter.

How long will I need physical therapy?

The duration of physical therapy depends on your desired level of function and the recommendation of your therapist or physician. Therapy progress will be monitored regularly.

Will my insurance cover therapy?

Most insurance companies cover physical therapy. Please check your benefits before starting therapy. Cash payment plans are also available for those without insurance.

Do I need a physician’s referral for physical therapy?

Most insurance companies require a physician’s referral, which should be brought to your first appointment. Medicare requires patients to be seen by their physician every 30 days to continue therapy.
